Caléndula

At the Fundación Centro de Supercomputación de Castilla y León (SCAYLE)

Supercomputing Center of Castilla y León (SCAYLE) is a non-profit organization, belonging to the Public Sector of Castilla y León, whose main activity is the improvement of research tasks in Universities, R&D centers and companies, promoting and developing innovation actions in the world of the Knowledge Society, the area of intensive calculation, communications and advanced services, contributing by technological improvement to the economic development of the Community and the improvement of the competitiveness of Business.

SCAYLE collaborates with multidisciplinary research groups in various fields of science. But it also has its own research lines aligned with its strategy and needs: Federation of Identities, Infrastructure and Execution of Workflows, Energy Efficiency in HPC environments and Cloud Technologies for Public Administrations.

SCAYLE is also the coordinating and managing body of the Regional Network of Science and Technology of Castilla y León, a regional network that interconnects the teaching and research centers of the Community with the Spanish (RedIRIS-NOVA) and European research networks (GÉANT2), facilitating the development of joint research projects.
