Caléndula - SCAYLE
The Centro de Supercomputación de Castilla y León (SCAYLE) is a non-profit organization belonging to the Public Sector of Castilla y León. Its main activity is to enhance research tasks in universities, R&D centers, and businesses, promoting and developing innovation actions in the field of the Knowledge Society, intensive computing, communications, and advanced services, contributing through technological improvement to the economic development of the Community and the enhancement of companies' competitiveness.
SCAYLE has the Caléndula supercomputer and collaborates with multidisciplinary research groups in various fields of science. Additionally, it has its own research lines aligned with its strategy and needs: Identity Federation, Infrastructure and Workflow Execution, Energy Efficiency in HPC environments, and Cloud Technologies for Public Administrations. Furthermore, SCAYLE is the coordinating and managing body of the Regional Science and Technology Network of Castilla y León, a regional network that interconnects educational and research centers in the Community with Spanish research networks (RedIRIS-NOVA) and European networks (GÉANT2), facilitating the development of joint research projects.
