Tirant - UV
The Universitat de València (UV) hosts the Tirant supercomputer, which is located on the Burjassot campus and managed by the Servei d’Informàtica (SIUV). The SIUV is responsible for managing both the aforementioned infrastructure and the system itself (at the hardware and software levels). Its personnel also provide user support services.
The Tirant supercomputer was inaugurated in January 2008. In its current configuration, after the latest update (July 2018), Tirant is composed of 336 nodes, each equipped with two Intel Xeon SandyBridge E5-2670 processors running at 2.6 GHz and 32 GB DDR3 RAM (5376 cores in total).
