Port d'Informació Científica - PIC/UAB
The Port d'Informació Científica (PIC) is a high-performance scientific data processing center operated through a collaboration agreement between the Institut de Física d'Altes Energies (IFAE) and the Centro de Investigaciones Energéticas, Medioambientales y Tecnológicas (CIEMAT), located on the campus of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). It is one of the Tier-1 data centers for the experiments of the LHC particle collider at CERN (the European Laboratory for Particle Physics near Geneva, Switzerland) and the main data center for the MAGIC and PAUSurvey telescopes, both located at the Roque de los Muchachos Observatory in La Palma, Canary Islands. PIC is also one of the data centers for the European Space Agency’s Euclid mission as well as for the future CTA gamma-ray observatory. The center's scientific and technical staff specialize in the development of advanced methods for data analysis in multidisciplinary environments. If you wish to contact PIC or visit the center, you can do so by following the link below.
