MareNostrum 5 - BSC

Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) manages the Spanish Supercomputing Network and it is a hosting member of the Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe (PRACE). It hosts MareNostrum, one of the most powerful supercomputers in Europe with more than 314 PFlop/s. It has a total workforce of more than 1000 R&D experts and professionals, and its research focuses on four fields: Computer Sciences, Life Sciences, Earth Sciences and Computer Applications in Science and Engineering. BSC was established in 2005 aiming at fostering High Performance Computing in Spain and Europe as an essential tool for international competitiveness in science and engineering.
