LUSITANIA III - COMPUTAEX

The COMPUTAEX Foundation (Computing and Advanced Technologies of Extremadura) aims to promote, disseminate, and provide high-performance computing and advanced communication services to the research communities of Extremadura, as well as to companies and institutions that request it. It contributes to technological advancement and innovation, promoting business competitiveness and the development of society as a whole.

Since 2009, COMPUTAEX has managed the Supercomputing Center of Extremadura, which houses the LUSITANIA supercomputer. Since its launch, this center has provided essential resources to support research projects, as well as companies, institutions, and technological centers in Extremadura, with a reach that transcends regional borders, with a national and international vocation.

Since early 2020, the Supercomputing Center of Extremadura has been operating with the LUSITANIA III supercomputer, which reaches a computing capacity of 313 TFlops. Additionally, it has an advanced infrastructure for storage, parallel processing, and graphical capabilities, ensuring the satisfaction of the growing needs of its users.
