Cibeles3

At the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM)

Cibeles Node is hosted by the Center for Scientific Computation (Centro de Computación Científica - CCC) which belongs to the Autonomus University of Madrid (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid - UAM). This University, together with 10 centers of the Spanish Research Council (Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas – CSIC) located at the same campus, and two Centers of the Madrid Research Institute (Instituto Madrileño de Investigación Avanzada – IMDEA), form the Campus of International Excellence (CEI) UAM + CSIC.

The CCC computing facilities are available for all the members of the Campus, covering many different disciplines, offering computing and hosting services together with system management. The main objective of CCC is to bring computational capabilities to all scientific disciplines (Material chemistry, physics, economy, biology, etc,) whose productivity is likely to be benefited from massive computing.

Cibeles is the Mother Earth Goddess, symbol of the Earth, agriculture and fertility, and representative symbol of Madrid, naming one of its most famous Plazas.

Support team / Contact

The technical support team of the CCC-UAM is dedicated to the administration of its own general purpose systems, including software installation, advice on the optimization of resources, and general operational maintenance in high availability of calculation systems. The team also offers advice on the design of solutions, addressing the scientific problem, to achieve the integration of external equipment with the centralized infrastructures and the Cibeles node, for optimum use of computing infrastructures.

On the CCC-UAM website there is a specific section of documentation on the use of our Center, with a private area for users.
