This year, the RES Users’ Conference and the HPC Advisory Council Conference will take place in Valencia on September 20 and 21. The objective of these events is to be a discussion forum to share experiences about the use of supercomputing technologies and to promote the dissemination of research results.

The Spanish Supercomputing Network (RES) and the HPC Advisory Council will organise the 12th RES Users’ Conference and the 7th HPC Advisory Council Spain Conference in Valencia on the 20th and the 21st of September. The local organiser is the Universitat de València, which hosts the RES supercomputer Tirant.

Both events address to all current RES users, as well as the potential users of RES and PRACE supercomputing facilities. Also, the conferences are interesting for students or researchers on computational science and companies involved in High Performance Computing Technologies. The registration is free of charge, includes coffee breaks and lunches, and is open until the 14th of September.

In this year edition, the plenary session of the RES Users’ Conference is focused in open research data and will count on the presence of Research Data Alliance representatives. The morning programme also includes information sessions about RES updates and the European HPC Ecosystem. To promote the dissemination of highlighted research results of RES projects, in the afternoon we have organised four scientific parallel sessions (one session for each of the RES areas). Besides, young researchers will have the opportunity to present their work in the poster session.

The HPC Advisory Council Spain Conference aims to gather domain experts and encourage an interactive exchange through several HPC stakeholders. It will include contributed talks, hands-on labs, and tutorials exploring an array of topics and techniques like AI, Exascale progress, machine learning and more.

To promote the interaction among all the attendees, we have organised a cultural networking event on September 20 afternoon that consist in a guided visit to the city centre of Valencia. Do not miss this opportunity and join us this September!
