11th RES Users’ Conference and 6th HPC Advisory Council Spain Conference

This year, the RES Users’ Conference and the HPC Advisory Council Conference will take place in Santiago de Compostela on 28 and 29 September. They are addressed to RES users, potential users of RES and PRACE supercomputing facilities, researchers on computational science and companies involved in HPC technologies.

The Spanish Supercomputing Network (RES) and the HPC Advisory Council will hold the 11th RES Users’ Conference and the 6th HPC Advisory Council Spain Conference in Santiago de Compostela on 28 and 29 September. The local organizer of both events is CESGA, the Supercomputing Center of Galicia.

These events are addressed to all current RES users, as well as the potential users of RES and PRACE supercomputing facilities. Also, they are interesting for students or researchers on computational science and for companies involved in High Performance Computing Technologies. The registration is free of charge, includes coffee breaks and lunches, and is open until the 21st of September.

The RES Users’ Conference aims to be a discussion forum to share experiences about the use of RES supercomputing facilities. It is also a good opportunity to promote the dissemination of highlighted research results of RES users. To this end, the programme includes four parallel scientific sessions, focused on the four RES scientific areas: Chemistry and Materials Science; Life and Health Sciences; Mathematics, Physics and Engineering; and Astronomy, Space and Earth Sciences. Young researchers will have the opportunity to present their results in the poster session.

The HPC Advisory Council Spain Conference's objective is to encourage an interactive exchange through keynote, panel, technical and sponsor sessions and addresses a range of interests, disciplines and topics such as: Exascale Progress and Pursuits, Deep/Machine Learning and AI, Data Sciences… and much more.

To promote the interaction among all the attendees, the afternoon of 28th September there is a cultural networking event which consist in a guided visit to the city center of Santiago de Compostela. Do not miss this opportunity and join us this September!
