Cibeles3 - UAM

The Cibeles node, named after the goddess of Mother Earth, symbolizing earth, agriculture, and fertility, as well as a representative symbol of the city of Madrid, is hosted by the Scientific Computing Center (CCC-UAM), which provides centralized computing support to the Campus of the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. This University, along with 10 centers of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), located geographically on the same campus, and two IMDEA Centers (Madrid Institute for Advanced Studies), form the UAM + CSIC International Excellence Campus (CEI).

Computing resources are available to all members of the excellence campus, covering a wide range of disciplines, and offering hosting computing services along with system administration. The main objective of the CCC-UAM is to provide computing capacity to all scientific disciplines (Materials Chemistry, Physics, Economics, Biology, etc.) whose productivity can benefit from massive computing. Support team

The technical support of the CCC-UAM is dedicated to the administration of its own general-purpose systems, including software installation, advice on resource optimization, and general operational maintenance in high availability of computing systems. The team also provides advice on solution design, addressing the scientific problem, to achieve integration of external equipment with centralized infrastructures and the Cibeles node, for optimal utilization of computing infrastructures.

The CCC-UAM website has a specific section of documentation on the use of our Center, with a private area for users. If you need support from UAM you can directly contact CCC's direction through administracion.ccc@uam.es, and with the Cibeles node itself through res_support@uam.es
