The RES was founded in March 2007 by the Ministry of Education and Science, initially including 8 institutions. Over the years, several updates have been made to the hardware of the RES nodes, and new nodes have been incorporated into our supercomputer network. Currently, the RES consists of 14 nodes located in different research centers and universities in Spain.
You can find information about the history and mission of the RES, as well as its organization and Governing Bodies (including the RES Users' Committee) on
the dedicated page about the RES.
